To improve our current results and reach new heights, we’re expanding our team and looking for a Level Designer.
What you will be doing:
Designing and configurating levels (core gameplay);
Balancing difficulty and level progression;
Analyzing level performance using metrics: Win Rate, Restart Rate, Drop-off;
Working with level funnels (retention, progression);
Rapid iteration and hypothesis testing;
Participating in A/B testing of levels;
Creating and maintaining GDDs for levels and mechanics;
Collaborating with game designers, analysts, and producers;
Participating in the development of game prototypes.
What we’re looking for in a candidate:
2+ years of experience as a Level Designer;
Experience in mobile games (puzzle / hybrid casual / casual);
Strong knowledge of: Level design principles, Game design, Gameplay mechanics, Product metrics;
Solid understanding of the metrics: Win Rate, Fail Rate, Retention, Time Spent;
Ability to design difficulty curves;
Experience balancing levels for player retention and experience;
Understanding of level structure and ability to design game riddles;
Experience creating GDDs with detailed level mechanics;
Proficiency with Unity;
Ability to analyze levels based on metrics rather than intuition alone;
Fast iteration skills: build → test → refine;
Russian – native or fluent (required).
Nice to have:
Ability to generate ideas for puzzle games;
Experience designing new mechanics and level variations;
Strong awareness of the puzzle game market (what works / what doesn’t).
Important skills:
Ability to identify problems in a level and explain them;
Thinking in terms of metrics, not just through gameplay;
Willingness to revisit and rework solutions;
Strong sense of balance between challenge and frustration in the game.
