Our apps, Raya and Places, are tools for discovery of and access to exciting people and places globally. We believe that by marrying great software with a membership-based community built around core values of trust, curation, and authenticity, we can provide solutions that have heretofore been impossible. Places’ mission is to help discerning global travelers find their favorite places wherever they go through expert curation and community trust.

Places’ team is composed of talented, compassionate individuals from all over the globe with diverse backgrounds and professional experiences including folks from Apple, Google, Amazon, Meta, Snap, Twitter, Instacart, Paypal and more. We prioritize learning and teamwork and love giving people the opportunity to champion big challenges and grow into better versions of themselves.

We’re looking for a detail-oriented Product Designer who loves systems, structure, and clarity. In this role, you’ll help maintain and evolve our design systems, support high-quality execution across product surfaces, and collaborate with senior designers to bring features from concept to implementation with accuracy and consistency.

  • Degree in Design, HCI, or equivalent experience.

  • Strong Candidates May Have

  • Experience maintaining or contributing to robust design systems.

  • A strong sense of structure and organization, keeping libraries tidy, documented, and easy for the team to use.

  • A proactive approach to refinement.

  • Comfort collaborating closely with engineering, ensuring components behave as intended across devices and screen sizes.

  • A desire to help scale design, supporting smoother workflows, faster shipping, and more coherent product experiences.

  • Design systems are a core foundation for our speed, quality, and consistency as a team. In this role, you’ll directly influence how quickly we can build, how cohesively we can design, and how accurately the product reflects our design intent — while playing a meaningful role in shaping the evolution of both Raya and Places.
