Why this grade
This listing scored 13/100, which is an F. It lost the most ground on pay transparency.
- Description depth 20 / 20 How much the posting actually says about the work, measured in characters of real text.
- Corroboration 10 / 10 Whether more than one source carries this listing.
- Remote clarity 8 / 15 Whether "remote" means anywhere, or is quietly restricted to one country.
- Role specificity 0 / 10 Whether the listing is tagged well enough to tell what the role actually is.
- Freshness 0 / 15 How recently it was posted. Older postings are likelier to be filled or abandoned.
- Pay transparency 0 / 25 A published salary range, worth more than any other single factor because it is what a candidate cannot find out without applying.
-25 Ghost-job penalty — Deducted for signals that this posting may not be a real, currently-open role — staleness, repeated relisting, or talent-pool language.
Every figure above is arithmetic over the posting itself — its salary field, its text, its age, its tags and how many sources carry it. How the grades work →

In this role, you'll combine deep cloud expertise, technical breadth, and a passion for great didactic experiences to build the next generation of cloud education at DataCamp.
About the role
This is an individual contributor role. You will collaborate with subject matter experts and leverage in-house-built cutting-edge AI tooling to scale high-quality course creation across cloud platforms (AWS, Azure, GCP) and cloud-adjacent topics such as DevOps, infrastructure-as-code, MLOps, and cloud data engineering. Here's what your day-to-day will look like:
- Manage the entire content development lifecycle and deadlines.
- Source and recruit top-tier subject-matter experts as instructors.
- Collaborate with instructors to create engaging content.
- Consistently leverage AI tools like Claude Code, Cursor, and more to drive high-quality content production at scale.
- Design, review, and create content on Cloud platforms, cloud architecture, DevOps, cloud data engineering, and related topics. You will review content from a learner perspective, ensuring it is technically accurate and pedagogically effective.
- Continuously assess course performance using learner feedback and engagement data to drive improvements.
- Identify and prioritize existing curriculum gaps or new topics in DataCamp's cloud curriculum.
We’re excited about you because you have the following
- A solid hands-on background working with one or more major cloud platforms (AWS, Azure, or GCP). Relevant cloud certifications (e.g. AWS Solutions Architect, Google Professional Cloud Architect, Azure Administrator) are a strong plus.
- Broad cloud fluency spanning infrastructure, storage, compute, networking, and managed services, with additional depth in at least one area such as cloud data engineering, MLOps, serverless, or DevOps/IaC.
- A solid technical background in Python and/or SQL, with comfort working in cloud-native tooling and CLI environments.
- Intuitive understanding of instructional design, with proven ability to structure and teach technical concepts clearly.
- Graduate degree (Master's or PhD) in Computer Science, Cloud Computing, Software Engineering, or a related STEM field—or equivalent industry experience.
- Strong experience with agentic coding systems such as Claude Code, Cursor, and Replit. You consider yourself a sophisticated user of these tools.
Bonus if you have the following
- A deep understanding of the DataCamp course format—you have an intuitive understanding of what makes a great DataCamp course.
- An existing network of potential subject matter experts who can become DataCamp instructors.
- An extensive track record of building sophisticated AI systems and workflows.
If you don’t meet all the requirements but are excited about the role and believe your background makes you a strong fit, we encourage you to apply.
