Job Description
Proton builds the privacy-first alternative to Big Tech: Mail, VPN, Drive, Pass, Calendar, and Lumo AI. We're profitable, have no VC control, and are majority owned by the nonprofit Proton Foundation, so no one can force a change in mission.
The Drive Foundation team builds the core SDK powering every Proton Drive client,C#, TypeScript, and Rust daily, with Swift and Kotlin bindings for mobile. It's foundational work: what you build here ships to every Drive client, and there's a crypto model revamp plus a Rust based next gen SDK on the roadmap.
Looking for someone with 5+ years of professional software experience and strong Rust expertise (ownership, concurrency), plus experience building libraries for client applications (web/mobile/desktop). Don't check every box but think you'd be a strong fit? We say apply anyway.
