Why this grade
This listing scored 39/100, which is an F. It lost the most ground on pay transparency.
- Description depth 20 / 20 How much the posting actually says about the work, measured in characters of real text.
- Pay transparency 12 / 25 A published salary range, worth more than any other single factor because it is what a candidate cannot find out without applying.
- Remote clarity 8 / 15 Whether "remote" means anywhere, or is quietly restricted to one country.
- Corroboration 5 / 10 Whether more than one source carries this listing.
- Freshness 4 / 15 How recently it was posted. Older postings are likelier to be filled or abandoned.
- Role specificity 0 / 10 Whether the listing is tagged well enough to tell what the role actually is.
-10 Ghost-job penalty — Deducted for signals that this posting may not be a real, currently-open role — staleness, repeated relisting, or talent-pool language.
Every figure above is arithmetic over the posting itself — its salary field, its text, its age, its tags and how many sources carry it. How the grades work →
About the Role
A fast-growing, API-first fintech company — purpose-built around programmable money, stablecoins, and direct dollar access for global banks and fintechs — is hiring its Founding Account Manager. This is a ground-floor opportunity to build and lead the Account Management function from scratch, owning everything from customer onboarding through to upsell strategy and live revenue impact.
You will be the company's first hire in this function, reporting directly to the Head of Growth and working hand-in-hand with product, engineering, operations, and compliance teams. The company operates at the intersection of fintech, digital assets, and regulated banking infrastructure — serving global financial institutions that need programmable dollar and euro accounts, international payments, and stablecoin rails.
What You'll Do
Build and scale the Account Management function from the ground up — defining processes, KPIs, and success criteria.
Lead customer onboarding and integrations post-contract signature, coordinating across product, operations, and compliance.
Own day-to-day customer relationships to accelerate revenue ramp, surface product feedback, and prevent churn.
Design and execute upsell strategies; coordinate new product launches with cross-functional teams.
Project-manage complex, senior stakeholder environments — including CEOs, founders, and shareholders at customer organizations.
Establish repeatable processes and automation to reduce manual work and increase scalability.
Feed customer insights directly into the product roadmap to shape prioritization and enhancements.
Travel globally across the US, Europe, APAC, and LATAM to support customers and drive relationships.
What We're Looking For
Required
Genuine, proven interest in go-to-market (GTM) strategies and commercial operations — this is a dealbreaker.
Experience as a Consultant, Chief of Staff, or Finance Associate at a fast-paced startup.
Strong project management track record in complex, multi-stakeholder environments.
Demonstrated ability to manage customer relationships end-to-end to drive revenue ramp and reduce churn.
Experience building and scaling an Account Management function, including onboarding, upsell motions, and KPI-based success metrics.
Comfort managing senior audiences including C-suite executives, founders, and investors.
Systems-first mentality with a bias for automation and scalable, repeatable processes.
Willingness and ability to travel globally (US, Europe, APAC, LATAM).
Based in New York City or Berlin, or willing to relocate internationally — this is a dealbreaker.
Nice to Have
Fintech or banking domain knowledge, or familiarity with financial products and what they do for businesses.
Experience working in regulated payments, digital assets, or correspondent banking environments.
Compensation & Benefits
Salary: $150,000 – $230,000 USD annually
Visa sponsorship is available.
Location
Primary office: New York City, NY, USA (on-site)
Candidates based in New York City or Berlin preferred; relocation considered.
Global travel required across the US, Europe, APAC, and LATAM.
