Senior SAP S/4HANA Business Analyst (FI/CO)

About the Role:

We are looking for an SAP professional to support a project focused on the analysis and documentation of activities, roles, responsibilities, and capacity requirements in preparation for the transition to an SAP S/4HANA environment.

The main objective of the project is to collect and structure the necessary inputs for defining a future Roles & Responsibilities (R&R) and Capacity Management strategy once the transition to S/4HANA has been completed.

The role will focus primarily on Finance, Controlling (including CATS), and Accounting, covering both SAP S/4HANA and SAP ERP environments. The position requires a combination of SAP functional knowledge, architectural understanding, and awareness of development-related activities.

Responsibilities:

• Analyze and document business and IT activities performed within SAP S/4HANA and SAP ERP solution landscapes.
• Focus on activities related primarily to:
  • Finance
  • Controlling, including CATS
  • Accounting
  • Compare activity execution patterns between SAP S/4HANA and SAP ERP environments.
  • Categorize activities according to predefined role groups:
    • Business User
    • Business Key User
    • IT Functional Consultant
    • IT Developer
    • IT Architect
    • Document activity descriptions, expected outputs, and interaction points between functional task clusters.
    • Identify and document the competencies required to perform the categorized activities.
    • Analyze and document learning, training, and knowledge enablement topics associated with the identified competencies.
    • Prepare role interaction models illustrating:
      • Activity ownership
      • Collaboration points
      • Handover interfaces between the defined role groups
      • Create and maintain documentation describing activity allocation across the defined role categories.
      • Record findings, assumptions, and proposed activity mappings in designated repositories, including SharePoint and Microsoft Teams.
      • Prepare status summaries and documentation packages for review within the project governance framework.
      • Analyze activities related to SAP S/4HANA solutions hosted in SAP Private Cloud and integrated with SAP Business Technology Platform (SAP BTP).
      • Compare these activities with processes and activities performed in SAP ERP environments utilizing SAP BTP components.
      • Prepare comprehensive documentation covering all project results and hand over the documentation to the customer for review and further use.

Requirements:

• Strong knowledge of SAP environments, particularly SAP S/4HANA and/or SAP ERP.
• Experience in analyzing and documenting business and IT activities within SAP landscapes.
• Knowledge of Finance, Controlling and/or Accounting processes.
• Understanding of roles, responsibilities, activity allocation, and organizational models within SAP environments.
• Ability to categorize activities and map them to predefined business and IT role groups.
• Experience with process and activity documentation.
• Knowledge of SAP architecture and development is required.
• Understanding of SAP BTP and its integration with SAP solutions.
• Ability to work with structured documentation, templates, governance requirements, and project methodologies.
• Good command of English.
