Hey, we are a finops/cloud optimization company that also helps some of our clients with their hiring needs. For one of them (a solid healthcare data company) we're looking for a Senior Data Engineer.
The legal stuff:
You need to live in the USA and be under one of the following conditions:
a) US citizen
b) Green Card holder
c) Sole owner of your own LLC company (not co-owner, sole owner)
Sadly, all other options are not possible, like H1B, OPT, EAD, or CPT visas, are not possible for us.
80-90 USD per hour, changes of going a bit above if the candidate is amazing.
The tech stuff:
7 yoe (5 of which building production-grade data or platform services), AWS-heavy (if you're stronger on Azure or GCP, then it's not for you, sorry), Python, SQL, dbt, (Snowflake OR BigQuery OR Redshift), Spark, Kafka, (Iceberg OR Delta OR Hudi), (Airflow OR Dagster OR Prefect), CI/CD, Docker, AWS.
