Bilingual Front Desk/ Insurance Specialist - Pediatrics

Job Description

We are seeking a fluent bilingual Medical Virtual Assistant to support our client's Pediatric practice during EST business hours. The ideal candidate has prior hands-on experience in a U.S. healthcare front-desk setting, proficiency in eClinicalWorks (eCW), and strong confidence in managing high-volume inbound patient phone calls, appointment scheduling, and insurance eligibility verification.

Key Responsibilities:

• Patient Communications: Answer inbound calls with a warm, professional phone personality, address inquiries, and monitor the practice email inbox.
• Scheduling & EHR Management: Manage, book, and coordinate patient appointments directly within eClinicalWorks (eCW).
• Insurance Verification: Run real-time insurance eligibility checks and verify coverage/benefits prior to appointments.
• Administrative Support: Provide general front-office support and assist with administrative coordination as needed.

Requirements

Language: Native or fully fluent in both spoken and written English and Spanish (required). Fluency in Portuguese is a strong plus.

Software: Minimum 1 year of hands-on, practical experience using eClinicalWorks (eCW) is strictly required.

Experience: Prior patient-facing medical receptionist or front-desk experience in a U.S. healthcare setting. Prior pediatrics experience is highly preferred.

Insurance Verification: Minimum 1 year of handling the full insurance verification cycle.

Core Competencies: Proven experience verifying insurance eligibility, strong phone etiquette, and high organizational skills.

Schedule: Full availability to work standard Eastern Standard Time (EST) business hours.

Please note that this is a full-time contractor position (40 hours per week) with a starting pay rate of $6 per hour, depending on skill set and experience. The schedule is Monday through Friday, 8am-5pm EST.
