Senior Software Engineer - Cloud Platform Developer Relations

Position Purpose:

Our team serves as the primary technical interface between the Tiny Homes Platform and its customers, using deep knowledge of the GKE platform, Vantage networking, and the mesh/control-plane internals to diagnose and resolve deployment blockers for containerized workloads. We convert recurring friction points into reusable technologies, tooling, docs, video content, and self-service processes that scale platform adoption beyond one-on-one support. In this role as a Senior Software Engineer, you will Maintain working fluency across the full Tiny Homes technology stack — GKE, Docker, Envoy/Wayfinder mesh, Vantage, Tailscale, Flux CD, and CI/CD tooling, engage directly with customers to triage and resolve deployment blockers, and turn patterns from those engagements into documentation, tooling, or process fixes rather than one-off fixes, keep platform knowledge current as Tiny Homes evolves (new component versions, API changes, deprecations) and correct stale assumptions in customer-facing guidance before they propagate.

Travel Requirements:

• No travel required.

Physical Requirements:

• Most of the time is spent sitting in a comfortable position and there is frequent opportunity to move about. On rare occasions there may be a need to move or lift light articles.

Working Conditions:

• Located in a comfortable indoor area. Any unpleasant conditions would be infrequent and not objectionable.

Minimum Qualifications:

• Must be eighteen years of age or older.
• Must be legally permitted to work in the United States.

Preferred Qualifications:

• 3-5 years of relevant work experience
• Docker, GKE & Kubernetes fundamentals
• Cloud networking (i.e: Vantage, IP tables, Identity Providers).
• The mesh layer (Envoy + Wayfinder + Tailscale).
• CI/CD pipelines (Spinnaker + GitOps, Github, Flux CD, etc.).
• Cloud Admission Controllers & tenant workload config

• The knowledge, skills and abilities typically acquired through the completion of a bachelor's degree program or equivalent degree in a field of study related to the job.
