(Senior) Research Associate

About Us

Kielo Research, a Sanius Health company, is a specialist research consultancy focused on patient preference studies, surveys, and qualitative research for pharmaceutical and medical device companies. Our work generates evidence to support patient-centred drug and device development.

The role

You will work with principal investigators on the scientific and operational delivery of health outcomes studies involving patients, caregivers, and clinicians. The role combines applied research, clear scientific writing, and day-to-day project coordination. Appointment at Research Associate or Senior Research Associate level will depend on experience.

Responsibilities

• Conduct literature reviews and contribute to study protocols and other scientific documents
• Design choice experiments, including discrete choice experiments, best-worst scaling, thresholding, and swing weighting
• Conduct patient interviews and moderate online, telephone, and in-person focus groups
• Test surveys and study materials
• Code and analyse qualitative data
• Conduct statistical analyses, including econometric analysis of choice data
• Draft study reports and scientific publications
• Plan and lead client and internal meetings
• Track project timelines, actions, and progress
• Perform quality control of study deliverables

Qualifications

We welcome candidates who have experience in patient preference research, as well as those with relevant scientific training who want to develop specialist expertise in this field.

You should have either:

• A master's degree in a relevant scientific field, such as health economics, economics, public health, epidemiology, or management science, and at least three years of relevant experience
• A doctoral degree in a relevant scientific field and at least one year of relevant experience

The following experience would be an advantage:

• Designing, conducting, or analysing stated preference studies
• Conducting interviews or focus groups and analysing qualitative data
• Data analysis and programming in R
• Writing for peer-reviewed scientific journals

Excellent written and spoken English is essential. French, German, Spanish, or Italian would be an advantage. You should be confident using Microsoft 365 applications and comfortable working with digital and AI-enabled workflows.

Location and working arrangements

Kielo Research is based in Zug, Switzerland, and our team works remotely across Europe. Employees may work flexibly from an eligible country, use a company-funded co-working space where appropriate, and meet colleagues in person periodically at one of our European locations.

The role may be based in Croatia, the Czech Republic, Denmark, Estonia, Finland, Germany, Hungary, Ireland, Lithuania, the Netherlands, Poland, Portugal, Spain, Sweden, or the United Kingdom.
