The Opportunity

PAX is seeking a Director of Product Marketing to lead product and portfolio marketing across our global device business and U.S. cannabis consumables business. This person will help determine where PAX plays, whom we serve, and how our products win. They will translate consumer insight, market dynamics, and business priorities into clear portfolio strategies, differentiated product positioning, and commercially rigorous go-to-market plans.

The Director will be involved throughout the product lifecycle, from opportunity identification and product definition through commercialization, launch, and ongoing optimization. They will serve as a critical connector among Product, Marketing, Creative, Sales, E-commerce, Operations, Finance, and Insights, ensuring every product has a clear consumer proposition, role within the portfolio, and plan for commercial success. The ideal candidate is a strategic thinker and strong operator who can move easily between shaping a product roadmap, refining a positioning statement, developing a global launch plan, and evaluating in-market performance.

ROLE AND RESPONSIBILITIES

Shape the Portfolio

• Lead product marketing across PAX’s device and consumables portfolios.

• Define each product’s audience, consumer need, value proposition, and role within the broader portfolio.

• Turn consumer insights, category trends, and business data into product roadmap recommendations and compelling business cases.

• Help shape portfolio architecture, pricing, and lifecycle strategies across formats, markets, channels, and price points.

• Translate technical information into simple, differentiated benefits that matter.

Bring Products to Market

• Own go-to-market strategy for new products, line extensions, relaunches, and other major portfolio initiatives.

• Define the audience, positioning, channel strategy, commercial requirements, and success metrics for each launch.

• Create clear, insight-led briefs that align Product, Creative, Brand, E-commerce, Sales, Trade Marketing, Communications, Operations, and Finance.

• Adapt launch plans across PAX’s distinct channels, including e-commerce, domestic and international wholesale, and licensed dispensaries.

• Keep teams focused and accountable, surfacing risks and driving decisions early enough to protect timing and quality.

• Equip sales teams and channel partners with compelling product stories, training, and tools that drive sell-in and sell-through.

Drive the Business Forward

• Own the ongoing commercial health of products beyond launch, developing lifecycle strategies that sustain relevance, velocity, and profitability over time.

• Build a deep understanding of how consumers discover, evaluate, purchase, and repurchase PAX products across channels.

• Track product and launch performance across revenue, distribution, velocity, conversion, consumer response, and profitability.

• Identify and lead lifecycle opportunities including pricing and promotion, bundles, product refreshes, new channel or market expansion, repositioning, and end-of-life planning.

• Partner with Brand, E-commerce, Sales, and Trade Marketing to evolve messaging, content, merchandising, and demand-driving programs based on product performance and consumer behavior.

• Turn performance data, competitive intelligence, and partner feedback into clear recommendations for how to accelerate, optimize, or rationalize the portfolio.

• Lead post-launch and ongoing business reviews, translating insights into specific actions, owners, and success metrics.

• Build repeatable processes that bring greater clarity, rigor, and accountability to how PAX launches, grows, and manages products throughout their lifecycle.

How You’ll Work

• Bring structure and clarity to complex, fast-moving work.

• Build trust across teams and lead effectively through influence.

• Balance strong strategic thinking with a willingness to get into the details.

• Communicate clearly, make thoughtful recommendations, and push decisions forward.

• Stay curious about consumers, the category, and what the data is telling us.

• Operate with high ownership, sound judgment, and low ego.

QUALIFICATIONS

• 8- 12+ years1 of experience in product marketing, portfolio strategy, or commercialization.

• Demonstrated success leading complex product launches across multiple channels, markets, or business models.

• Strong experience in consumer insight, segmentation, positioning, messaging and consumer-facing product copy, pricing, and go-to-market strategy.

• A proven ability to translate consumer needs and technical product details into differentiated, commercially effective stories.

• Experience partnering closely with Product, Sales, Creative, Operations, and Finance teams.

• Strong commercial and analytical judgment, including the ability to evaluate market opportunities and product performance.

• Exceptional communication skills, with the ability to influence leaders and cross-functional teams.

• Brings structure, clarity, and momentum to fast-paced work with evolving priorities.

• Hands-on approach and willingness to operate at both strategic and executional levels.

How this was produced

Highlights are found by rule, not by a model: each one is a phrase matched at a known position, and every note is a template we wrote. The two scores come from a typed-decision model (Jev) that reads the listing against the official role definition and real listings for the same role, and returns probabilities rather than prose — it never writes any of the words on this page, and never chooses what to highlight.
