AREO, founded in January 2023 by a team with 20+ years1 of combined experience in retail and startups, is a young2 startup specializing in developing innovative solutions for supermarkets and grocery retail stores.
Our cutting-edge B2B SaaS platform optimizes workflows for employees by providing real-time access to inventory, product information, and customer inquiries. We serve large supermarket chains in Germany and across the EU.
We already hired three backend developers through "HN - Who is hiring" and are now seeking a Head of Robotics to run our new robotics lab in Bremen, Germany. We are building a retail robot, initially focusing on teleoperation and later on autonomous model development. You should have at least 3 years of experience with humanoid robots, VLAs, teleoperation, and other relevant robotics systems. Professional knowledge of German is required, and you must live in or be ready to move to Germany.
