HYBRID) 1099 CONTRACT

APPLY: https://vuetech.sh/careers
Ongoing contract across several B2B products on one design system. First pass is a fixed-price flows-and-kit package, then hourly as each product grows. Not a full-time seat.
Engagement: Ongoing 1099 contract. Milestone prices are set against a frozen spec. This is not a full-time seat.
First package: A fixed-price flows-and-kit package, about three weeks. After that, $50–75/hr as each product grows.
Location: SF Bay Area, hybrid, with in-person working sessions for kickoff and reviews.
Start: Immediately after selection.
Level: Mid-level welcome. You work directly with the founding CTO. Early sessions are for breaking the product down together. After that, scope is deliverable by deliverable.
ABOUT THE STUDIO:
We are a small Bay Area product studio. Several products, one stack, one visual language. You own the UX with us: who the user is, what they are trying to finish, what belongs on each screen, and what happens when it fails. Later products reuse the same tokens, components, and patterns so customers and our engineers are not learning a new UI every time.
The products are B2B web apps: dashboards, media and content libraries, status views, and auth and access-gate states. The first product in the queue is a digital signage CMS. Store owners upload content, build playlists, pair outdoor Android screens from a phone, and see what is playing. The app is a mobile-first PWA. The screen on the sidewalk has its own states: setup QR, downloading, no content, and error.
You take a real part in that breakdown. Bring a point of view on structure, priority, and what to cut. Sit with us and map the flows before the high-fidelity screens exist. When a familiar admin layout is the wrong job for the task, say so and show the alternative.
The screens still have to ship. We start from a Tailwind UI / shadcn component kit. Buttons, inputs, tables, cards, and dialogs stay that anatomy, restyled with our brand: color, type, radius, and density. Page structure, hierarchy, and flow are yours. Every screen is composed from those components, with tokens that map to our Tailwind theme, so the frontend team builds from the system.
