Why this grade
This listing scored 79/100, which is a B. It lost the most ground on remote clarity.
- Pay transparency 25 / 25 A published salary range, worth more than any other single factor because it is what a candidate cannot find out without applying.
- Description depth 20 / 20 How much the posting actually says about the work, measured in characters of real text.
- Freshness 15 / 15 How recently it was posted. Older postings are likelier to be filled or abandoned.
- Remote clarity 8 / 15 Whether "remote" means anywhere, or is quietly restricted to one country.
- Role specificity 6 / 10 Whether the listing is tagged well enough to tell what the role actually is.
- Corroboration 5 / 10 Whether more than one source carries this listing.
Every figure above is arithmetic over the posting itself — its salary field, its text, its age, its tags and how many sources carry it. How the grades work →

Be part of something extraordinary.
We're looking for an experienced and passionate fundraiser to join Action for Children at an exciting time of growth. As we continue to expand our challenge events programme, we're investing in additional fundraising capacity to help us recruit, inspire and support more participants than ever before.
This role offers a unique opportunity to play a key part in delivering a growing portfolio of challenge events that generates significant income while creating unforgettable experiences for our supporters.
The opportunity
You'll manage and steward a large portfolio of challenge event participants, helping them maximise their fundraising potential and delivering an exceptional supporter journey from registration through to event day and beyond.
Working closely with fundraising, supporter care, and marketing colleagues, you'll build meaningful relationships with supporters, provide tailored fundraising advice and encouragement, and create memorable experiences that inspire long-term support for Action for Children.
As part of an ambitious and growing team, you'll contribute to the development of our wider challenge events portfolio, identifying opportunities to improve supporter experience, increase fundraising income and grow participation across a range of events. Our portfolio includes flagship events such as the Great North Run, Royal Parks Half Marathon and a growing range of bespoke treks and challenge events.
About you

Whatever your background, you'll be comfortable managing multiple priorities, building rapport with a wide range of people and motivating others to achieve ambitious fundraising targets.
Most importantly, you'll be enthusiastic, proactive and excited by the opportunity to play a key role in one of Action for Children's most important fundraising growth areas.
