Why this grade
This listing scored 54/100, which is a D. It lost the most ground on pay transparency.
- Description depth 20 / 20 How much the posting actually says about the work, measured in characters of real text.
- Freshness 15 / 15 How recently it was posted. Older postings are likelier to be filled or abandoned.
- Remote clarity 8 / 15 Whether "remote" means anywhere, or is quietly restricted to one country.
- Role specificity 6 / 10 Whether the listing is tagged well enough to tell what the role actually is.
- Corroboration 5 / 10 Whether more than one source carries this listing.
- Pay transparency 0 / 25 A published salary range, worth more than any other single factor because it is what a candidate cannot find out without applying.
Every figure above is arithmetic over the posting itself — its salary field, its text, its age, its tags and how many sources carry it. How the grades work →

About Us
BTC Inc. is the parent company of Bitcoin Magazine, The Bitcoin Conference, and Bitcoin for Corporations. Our mission is Hyperbitcoinization, the global adoption of Bitcoin as the world's preferred monetary network. We believe Bitcoin opens the door to a global monetary network free from poor incentives, censorship, and government manipulation. Our journey to success involves decades of complex problem-solving, product development, and service creation in order to onboard billions of people into a future where money is more accessible, borderless, and inclusive. If you enjoy working on challenging problems, fast-paced sprints, and navigating ambiguity, you'll find our mission and type of work inspiring and rewarding.
The Role
We're seeking a contract Producer to oversee production of i27. You'll report to our Director of Event Production and work cross-functionally with Sales/Account Management, our general contractor, and the existing production team to bring the show to life. This is a remote-first engagement with travel required for site visits and on-site production, running roughly October through May, with hours starting light and progressively ramping up in scope and intensity as the event approaches. You'll bring experience producing large-scale events, comfort with ambiguity in a still-being-defined show, and the organizational rigor to own multiple overlapping production timelines at once.
The Work
- Own production of i27 end-to-end (vendor selection → timeline → budget → on-site execution), serving as the BTC-side lead for the general contractor and production partners.
- Own and manage the event floorplan, coordinating competing space needs across sponsors, staging, F&B, decor, and production as the show comes together.
- Partner with the Sales and Account Management teams to support the production side of sponsor deliverables, translating sponsor commitments into buildable scopes, timelines, and on-site activations.
- Oversee stage builds, working closely with and drawing on the support of the existing production team to keep design and build on schedule and on brand.
- Coordinate venue logistics for the Palace of Fine Arts, including load-in/load-out, permitting, and preferred vendor coordination.
- Maintain accurate, real-time production timelines and vendor deliverables across multiple parallel workstreams; surface risks early and propose tradeoffs.
- Be on-site for load-in, show days (April 22-23), and load-out, acting as the primary production lead in the room.
- Maintain clear, proactive communication with internal stakeholders on production status, open risks, and decisions needed.
Your Experience
- 3-6 years in event production, including having managed a conference with thousands of attendees previously.
- Proven vendor management and on-site execution under tight timelines (multi-vendor, multi-stakeholder).
- Experience owning an event floorplan and coordinating competing space needs across sponsors, staging, and production.
- High organizational rigor: builds systems others can pick up quickly and tracks changes cleanly across overlapping timelines.
- Comfortable with a role that ramps from part-time to full intensity as the event approaches.
- Calm, proactive problem-solver in fast-paced, still-being-defined environments; self-starter mentality.
- Excellent written/verbal communication; can align vendors and internal stakeholders without things falling through the cracks.
- Willingness and ability to travel to San Francisco for site visits and on-site production, including load-in/load-out days.
Additional Benefits
In addition to working on a meaningful mission in a challenging environment, we also provide the following:
- Unlimited Vacation
- Company MacBook
- Health, Dental, and Vision
- Remote First / Your Schedule
- 100% Paid Life Insurance and Disability
- Work alongside a talented, fast-paced team solving complex problems
