Why this grade This listing scored 54/100, which is a D. It lost the most ground on pay transparency. See the breakdown
- Description depth 20 / 20 How much the posting actually says about the work, measured in characters of real text.
- Freshness 15 / 15 How recently it was posted. Older postings are likelier to be filled or abandoned.
- Remote clarity 8 / 15 Whether "remote" means anywhere, or is quietly restricted to one country.
- Role specificity 6 / 10 Whether the listing is tagged well enough to tell what the role actually is.
- Corroboration 5 / 10 Whether more than one source carries this listing.
- Pay transparency 0 / 25 A published salary range, worth more than any other single factor because it is what a candidate cannot find out without applying.
Every figure above is arithmetic over the posting itself — its salary field, its text, its age, its tags and how many sources carry it. How the grades work →

$58k – $95k
That is the middle half of what comparable roles paid on this board over the last 90 days — 18 listings that did publish a figure, median $78k. It is not this employer's offer, and we have no idea what they pay. It is only what the rest of the market advertised.
Content Creator Senior Full Time
Job Description
About Berry Law
Berry Law is on a mission to protect the constitutional rights of Americans. We are a veteran-led law firm with a warrior ethos that extends to how we support our team. We believe in excellence, leadership, and service — and we’re looking for someone who shares those values to join our team.
Mission
Write the content that defines the industry. Berry Law is seeking an exceptional journalist to serve as our Senior Content Creator—a trusted writer, researcher, strategist, and editor responsible for shaping the firm’s thought leadership across every major communication channel. This is not a traditional legal marketing position, nor is it a newsroom role. We are looking for someone who can transform complex legal and policy issues into authoritative, compelling content that educates Veterans, builds trust, strengthens Berry Law’s national reputation, and creates meaningful business impact. You’ll become the firm’s editorial authority—someone trusted to write with the rigor, judgment, and sophistication expected of an accomplished scholar and journalist while maintaining Berry Law’s voice, ethical standards, and commitment to excellence. If you’re the type of journalist who enjoys writing, teaching, researching, and influencing, and wants your work to make a real difference for those who served, this may be the ideal opportunity.
What You’ll Do
Lead Berry Law’s Editorial Strategy
- Conduct original research and reporting, and develop authoritative studies, reports, and white papers.
- Write thought leadership articles that establish Berry Law as a national authority in Veterans Disability and Personal Injury law.
- Develop editorial calendars aligned with firm priorities, legislative developments, and strategic initiatives.
- Monitor legal, legislative, and VA policy developments to identify the stories that matter most to Veterans.
Own High-Value Content Creation
- Draft long-form website content, practice area pages, guides, and educational resources.
- Write executive thought leadership pieces, opinion articles, and media-ready content.
- Draft persuasive copy that allows Berry Law to capitalize quickly on breaking news and emerging media opportunities.
- Provide ongoing website news updates and timely commentary.
Drive Multimedia Storytelling
- Develop podcast content plans, episode outlines, and interview preparation materials.
- Write video scripts, storyboards, and production briefs for educational and brand campaigns.
- Collaborate with the Producer to ensure every piece of content tells a compelling story.
Elevate Every Communication
- Develop messaging for social media campaigns, email initiatives, public relations, and executive communications.
- Review and edit content to ensure accuracy, editorial excellence, and brand consistency.
- Serve as the firm’s final editorial resource for complex content.
Protect Berry Law’s Reputation
- Partner with Berry Law attorneys to verify legal accuracy and compliance with attorney advertising rules.
- Ensure every published piece reflects Berry Law’s brand standards, ethical standards, and commitment to serving Veterans.
- Maintain exceptional attention to detail while simplifying complex legal concepts for everyday readers.
- Create content that earns trust, not clicks.
What We’re Looking For
Required
- Ph.D. in Journalism from an accredited institution
- Exceptional writing and editing abilities, demonstrated through a portfolio of published work
- Demonstrated ability to write clearly for professional and consumer audiences
- Outstanding research, organization, and editorial judgment
- Ability to translate sophisticated legal concepts into compelling, reader-friendly content
- Deep attention to detail and commitment to accuracy
Preferred
- Experience covering law, government, public policy, or military affairs
- Familiarity with Veterans Disability, Personal Injury, or litigation
- Experience developing thought leadership or educational content
- Familiarity with SEO, content strategy, Answer Engine Optimization (AEO), and AI-assisted research
- Experience working with Veteran or military communities
- Background collaborating with marketing, media, or communications teams
Who Will Thrive Here
This role is ideal for a journalist who...
- Loves writing more than anything else.
- Notices grammatical mistakes before finishing the sentence.
- Can edit complex legal writing into something anyone can understand.
- Thinks strategically about education, persuasion, and influence.
- Enjoys researching emerging legal issues and turning them into compelling stories.
- Takes pride in producing work that becomes the standard—not just another blog post.
Why Berry Law?
Berry Law is a nationally recognized, veteran-led law firm committed to serving those who served. We’re looking for more than a writer—we’re looking for someone Berry Law can trust with the firm’s reputation and its voice. You’ll have the opportunity to shape the legal conversation, influence thousands of readers every day, and produce the kind of content that defines an industry—not simply follows it. If you’re looking to use your expertise in journalism and research to educate, influence, and build something lasting, we’d love to meet you.
