Why this grade This listing scored 70/100, which is a B. It lost the most ground on pay transparency. See the breakdown
- Description depth 20 / 20 How much the posting actually says about the work, measured in characters of real text.
- Freshness 15 / 15 How recently it was posted. Older postings are likelier to be filled or abandoned.
- Remote clarity 15 / 15 Whether "remote" means anywhere, or is quietly restricted to one country.
- Pay transparency 12 / 25 A published salary range, worth more than any other single factor because it is what a candidate cannot find out without applying.
- Corroboration 5 / 10 Whether more than one source carries this listing.
- Role specificity 3 / 10 Whether the listing is tagged well enough to tell what the role actually is.
Every figure above is arithmetic over the posting itself — its salary field, its text, its age, its tags and how many sources carry it. How the grades work →

$100k – $148k
That is the middle half of what comparable roles paid on this board over the last 90 days — 60 listings that did publish a figure, median $124k. It is not this employer's offer, and we have no idea what they pay. It is only what the rest of the market advertised.

About LiveKit
LiveKit is building the infrastructure layer for the agentic era of computing. Our platform gives developers everything they need to build, test, deploy, scale, and observe AI agents in production. Founded in 2021, LiveKit powers voice and agentic AI applications for tens of thousands of developers, collectively facilitating billions of calls each year: language tutors that talk back, customer support and sales agents running real call volume, healthcare intake, coaching and training software, in-game characters, and the voice and video layer for robots.
About This Role
We're looking for our first Product Operations Manager. Our product team is small, senior, and growing fast, with each PM coming in to establish the foundations of a new part of the business. As the team grows, the work that connects it (how we plan, set and measure goals, keep the roadmap honest, run our rituals, learn from customers, and bring new people up to speed) needs an owner.
This role is that owner. Your customers are the PMs and the head of product, and your job is to make them faster and better at what they do. You won't be inheriting a process manual or enforcing one. You'll be designing how a product team works at the moment it goes from a handful of people to a real organization, inside an engineering culture that values autonomy and only adopts what makes people's lives easier.
You'll Thrive Here If You:
see the people you support as customers, and start from their problems rather than from a framework
like building systems from scratch more than maintaining them
would rather remove a meeting than add one
write clearly and enjoy making complicated things legible
are a fast learner, frequently picking up new tools and techniques, including AI
The best way to impress us is by trying LiveKit's product, understanding how we work, and bringing smart thoughts and opinions to the table.
What You'll Do
Run the product team's operating cadence. You own the calendar of planning cycles, reviews, and recurring updates: what each one is for, who needs to be there, what goes in, and what comes out. You make sure decisions and follow-ups are captured and visible to everyone who needs them, and you keep retiring or reshaping rituals that stop earning their time.
Own the roadmap as a system. You own how the roadmap is structured, at the right altitude for each audience, from engineering teams to leadership to sales. You make sure it stays current and becomes the place people go to find out what we're building and where it stands.
Make goals and progress visible. You run goal-setting for the product team so that every goal is measurable against a clear source of truth, and you track progress against those goals through the quarter. With our data team, you own the reporting the product team and leadership rely on, and you flag drift early.
Keep the product development playbook. You maintain lightweight shared standards for each step from framing a problem through launch: problem briefs, launch readiness, product stage definitions, release notes. With marketing, you run the internal side of every launch so each one ships with docs, pricing, and GTM ready.
Run the customer insight engine. You own the systems that keep customers close to the product team: a research repository people use, a continuous pipeline of customer conversations set up with sales and success, and a steady synthesis of what we hear from sales, support, surveys, and deals, delivered to the PMs who need it.
Grow the craft of the PM team. You own onboarding for new PMs, ongoing training, and the team's community of practice, and you help shape how we hire and level PMs.
Choose and run the team's tools. You decide how the product team uses its tools, from roadmapping and analytics to AI, and you make sure PMs get real leverage from them.
Be a partner in running the product org. You keep a pulse on where the team is stuck, bring your own point of view on what to fix next, and work with the head of product to make the product org better every quarter.
Who You Are
6+ years of experience, with at least 3 in product operations or a closely related role (chief of staff to a product leader, product program management, product strategy and operations) supporting a product team.
You've built it before. You've designed a product team's operating cadence from scratch at a company that was scaling, not only kept an existing one running.
A force multiplier. You measure your success by what changed for the people you support, not by how much process exists.
A strong writer. Most of what this role produces is read by other people: templates, updates, plans, and documentation.
Data fluent. You're comfortable defining metrics, working in BI tools, and telling a trustworthy number from an untrustworthy one. SQL is a plus.
Technical enough for a developer company. Our customers are developers and our organization is engineering-led. You don't need to write code, but you need to be credible with the people who do.
Influence without authority. Our engineering teams operate with high autonomy. Nothing here works by mandate; it works because it's useful.
AI-native. You use AI tools heavily in your own work and can help others do the same.
