Job Description

Role Title: Sociology Teachers, Postsecondary

micro1 is selecting Sociology Teachers, Postsecondarys to contribute their disciplinary expertise to a customer's education-focused project. In this role, you'll apply your expertise to help train next-generation AI systems. Your work will shape how models learn, reason, and perform through high-quality, real-world input. No prior experience in AI is required — your domain knowledge is what matters.

Scope of Work

  1. Design assessment tasks rooted in sociological concepts, ensuring prompts are clear, measurable, and suitable for application by third-party educators.
  2. Create high-quality rubrics that precisely align with each assessment task, incorporating established pedagogical frameworks such as Bloom's taxonomy.
  3. Review and provide detailed, actionable feedback on a variety of educational materials, promoting clarity, rigor, and authenticity.
  4. Synthesize relevant sociological literature and research to inform task and rubric development, ensuring academic integrity and up-to-date content.
  5. Document rationale and criteria for each assessment and rubric, supporting transparency and transferability across educational contexts.
  6. Collaborate asynchronously with other domain experts and project stakeholders through strong written and verbal communication.
  7. Support ongoing improvements by iteratively refining materials in response to peer and project feedback.

Preferred Qualifications

  1. PhD or ABD in Sociology or a closely related discipline.
  2. Active record of teaching and research/publication at the postsecondary level.
  3. Demonstrated expertise in developing high-quality assessment tasks and rubrics as part of your professional practice.
  4. Deep knowledge of pedagogical principles, including Bloom’s taxonomy and other assessment frameworks.
  5. Strong analytical and synthesis skills with experience distilling complex sociological theories into clear, actionable educational content.
  6. Proven ability to give constructive feedback and review peer work objectively.
  7. Exceptional written and verbal communication skills, with a commitment to clarity and academic rigor.
