Education: Bachelor's degree in Cybersecurity, Information Technology, Computer Science or a related field required.
Overview:
Kreative Technologies is looking for a Security Specialist to protect the systems and data we support for our clients. You will assess risks, maintain security controls and help systems meet federal security and compliance requirements.
The ideal candidate is vigilant, thorough and up to date on security threats. You should be comfortable working with technical teams to fix vulnerabilities and document compliance.
Duties/Responsibilities:
• Implements and monitors security controls for systems and applications.
• Performs vulnerability scans and tracks remediation of findings.
• Supports Assessment and Authorization (A&A) activities under the NIST Risk Management Framework (RMF).
• Develops and updates security documentation such as System Security Plans and POA&Ms.
• Reviews audit logs and responds to security incidents.
• Advises development and operations teams on secure configurations and practices.
• Supports security awareness and compliance reporting.
• Performs other duties as assigned1 .
Minimum Qualifications:
• 5+ years of information security experience.
• Knowledge of NIST SP 800-53, FISMA and the Risk Management Framework.
• Experience with vulnerability scanning tools such as Tenable Nessus or Qualys.
• Security certification such as CompTIA Security+, CISSP or CISM.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills.
• Ability to work independently in a remote environment.
• Continually required to use common office equipment including but not limited to computers, phones, scanners and printers.
Preferred Qualifications:
• Experience with SIEM tools such as Splunk.
• Experience with cloud security on AWS or Azure.
• Experience supporting federal government contracts.
Compensation: $85,532 – $95,035 per year
