Why this grade This listing scored 79/100, which is a B. It lost the most ground on remote clarity. See the breakdown
- Pay transparency 25 / 25 A published salary range, worth more than any other single factor because it is what a candidate cannot find out without applying.
- Description depth 20 / 20 How much the posting actually says about the work, measured in characters of real text.
- Freshness 15 / 15 How recently it was posted. Older postings are likelier to be filled or abandoned.
- Remote clarity 8 / 15 Whether "remote" means anywhere, or is quietly restricted to one country.
- Role specificity 6 / 10 Whether the listing is tagged well enough to tell what the role actually is.
- Corroboration 5 / 10 Whether more than one source carries this listing.
Every figure above is arithmetic over the posting itself — its salary field, its text, its age, its tags and how many sources carry it. How the grades work →

About the Role
The best sales leaders don't inherit a machine. They build one.
As VP of Commercial Sales, you will own the end-to-end performance of our high-velocity acquisition engine. You will lead managers and Account Executives, and turn market potential into predictable ARR through disciplined process, not heroics. You will report to the CRO and sit at the center of Marketing, RevOps, Partnerships, and Product, shaping how nonprofits discover and adopt our platform.
Key Responsibilities
- Own the Commercial revenue strategy, driving new business and expansion against ambitious ARR targets.
- Scale an organization of 15+ people, including frontline managers and Account Executives, and build a leadership bench by coaching managers directly.
- Build one system for pipeline generation across BDRs, AEs, Partnerships, and Marketing, with shared targets and clear ownership at each stage.
- Design repeatable, high-velocity playbooks and territory coverage models that shorten sales cycles and increase market penetration.
- Drive forecast accuracy and pipeline health through disciplined CRM practices, a weekly operating cadence, and clear KPI accountability.
- Partner with Marketing on ICP targeting and lead-to-opportunity conversion, with Product on roadmap feedback from SMB and Mid-Market customers, and with Customer Success on handoffs and expansion signals.
- Lead the adoption of sales technology and RevOps infrastructure that removes manual work and raises rep productivity.
- Build an inclusive, high-performance culture that ties professional growth to mission-driven results.
At Fundraise Up, AI is a default tool, not an experimental one. We expect every team member to actively use AI in their day-to-day work, identify where AI can change the shape of problems in their function, and grow their fluency as the tools evolve. In this role, that means using AI to measurably improve sales outcomes, and leading your team to do the same.
Skills and Qualifications
- 10+ years in B2B SaaS sales, including 5+ years leading managers.
- Direct management of first-line managers is required.
- Experience leading high-velocity B2B SaaS sales motions in Commercial segments.
- Experience leading a sales team through a significant growth phase, or measurable team quota growth.
- Experience leading sales organizations of 15+ people, in a remote or hybrid global environment.
- A track record of building repeatable sales processes, using funnel and conversion data to drive predictable ARR growth.
- Clear executive communication, with the ability to align cross-functional stakeholders around revenue goals.
- Demonstrated use of AI to improve sales outcomes.
- Undergraduate degree or equivalent professional experience.
Nice to Have
- Consumption-based selling or revenue model experience strongly preferred.
- Sales experience in the nonprofit, faith-based, nonprofit technology, or fintech space.
You'll Thrive Here If You…
- Build systems first, then trust the system to scale, instead of relying on individual heroics.
- Treat forecasting and pipeline hygiene as non-negotiable, not administrative overhead.
- Coach managers to coach their teams, rather than solving every deal yourself.
- Move fast on decisions, then adjust based on data instead of waiting for certainty.
- Say what you actually think in a room, even when it's the harder thing to say.
- Take ownership of outcomes across functions, not just your own team's numbers.
- Stay curious about how AI changes the shape of your work, and act on it.
- Want your work to fund nonprofits doing real work in the world, not just close deals.
Compensation
- The compensation range for this role is $440k - $460k OTE
