About the Role

One of our U.S.-based healthcare clients is looking for an experienced Medical Receptionist to support front-office operations and patient communication.

The ideal candidate has hands-on experience in a U.S. medical practice, clinic, hospital, or outpatient healthcare setting and is fluent in English.

This is a patient-facing medical reception role. Candidates whose experience is limited to general customer service or call center roles without medical reception or healthcare experience may not be considered.

Key Responsibilities

• Answer inbound patient calls in English

• Schedule, reschedule, and cancel patient appointments.

• Register patients and update demographic information.

• Manage patient messages, follow-ups, and administrative requests.

• Enter and maintain accurate patient information in the EMR/EHR.

• Verify insurance eligibility and benefits when required.

• Handle incoming and outgoing faxes and patient communications.

• Route clinical questions and provider-related requests appropriately.

• Maintain patient confidentiality and follow HIPAA requirements.

Requirements

• 3+ years of experience in U.S. healthcare.

• Previous experience as a Medical Receptionist, Medical Front Desk or similar healthcare role.

• Experience working directly with patients in a U.S. healthcare setting.

• Fluent in English, spoken and written.

• Experience with patient scheduling and registration.

• Experience using an EMR/EHR system.

• Strong communication, organization, and attention to detail.

• Ability to work independently in a remote environment.

• Availability to work during required U.S. business hours.

Preferred

• Insurance eligibility and benefits verification experience.

• Experience handling high-volume patient calls.

• Experience with EMR/EHR platforms such as Athenahealth, Tebra, eClinicalWorks, Practice Fusion, Epic, SimplePractice, or similar systems.

• Previous remote experience supporting U.S. healthcare practices.
