Build secure, practical blockchain capabilities for Kognitiv Academy, including verifiable learning credentials, digital achievements and integrations that improve learner trust and portability. This is an engineering role, not a token-speculation mandate.

What you will own

• Design, develop and maintain smart contracts, APIs and blockchain integrations where they provide genuine product value.

• Develop verifiable credentials, on-chain or cryptographically verifiable certificates and badge issuance workflows.

• Evaluate appropriate chains, standards and wallet experiences against cost, security, privacy and usability.

• Integrate blockchain services with the learner platform, identity and existing backend systems.

• Write tests, documentation, monitoring and deployment automation; manage secrets and key security correctly.

• Coordinate independent reviews or audits before any production smart-contract deployment.

• Work closely with product, engineering and regulatory advisers on data protection and user consent.

Required experience and capabilities

• 3+ years in software engineering with demonstrable production blockchain/Web3 experience.

• Strong knowledge of Solidity/EVM or a comparably relevant blockchain stack, secure API design and backend engineering.

• Understanding of cryptographic signing, wallet interaction, transaction lifecycle and security risks.

• Practical Git, CI/CD, testing, observability and technical documentation skills.

• Ability to explain architecture choices in plain business language.

Nice to have

• W3C Verifiable Credentials, Open Badges, decentralised identity and education credential systems.

• Experience with Ethereum-compatible L2s, indexers and cloud infrastructure.

• Prior work in education, gamification or SaaS.

First 90 days

• Audit current credential and gamification requirements and propose a minimal, secure technical architecture.

• Deliver a sandbox proof of concept for a verifiable credential or achievement workflow.

• Publish an implementation roadmap with costs, dependencies, security review and rollout gates.

Success measures

• Reliable and secure delivery against agreed milestones.

• Verification completion rate, integration reliability, test coverage and documented security findings.

• Low end-user friction and sustainable transaction/infrastructure cost.

Application: Please share a CV/profile, a short note on relevant experience and examples of work or projects where appropriate.
