👀 The Role

Title: Finance Manager

Team: Finance

Location: UK Hybrid; London or Leeds area preferred for hybrid collaboration. Wider UK candidates considered.

Number of Positions: 2

As Finance Manager, you’ll report to Reshma Nangpal and work closely with the broader finance team, including other Finance Managers, to deliver accurate, timely month-end accounting and financial control. This is a hands-on role covering bank and PSP reconciliations, sportsbook and casino revenue accounting, gaming duties and revenue-share payments. You’ll partner with Data, Compliance and Commercial teams, strengthen scalable processes and support Midnite’s growth across entities and markets. We’re hiring two people, with flexibility for mid-level and more senior accountants.

You will:

• Deliver key aspects of the monthly close accurately and on time, including accounts payable, supplier invoices, staff expenses and company credit card reconciliations.

• Perform and review bank reconciliations, investigate discrepancies, post bank fees and update month-end FX rates.

• Own PSP reconciliations and monthly journals, matching settlement and transactional data to accounting records.

• Maintain reconciliations for deferred revenue, player balances, prepayments and fixed assets, and accrue key supplier costs.

• Prepare sportsbook and casino revenue journals and reconcile revenue and cost of sales to source data, including promotional deductions and adjustments.

• Verify and accrue contractual revenue-share payments, share monthly data with casino suppliers and reconcile it to internal records; manage international partner revenue-share receivables and invoicing.

• Calculate and accrue General Betting Duty, Remote Gaming Duty, the Horse Racing Levy, Statutory Levy and Economic Crime Levy.

• Prepare the month-end cash report, support management reporting and variance analysis, reconcile marketing costs and post interest journals for the user acquisition credit facility.

• Help maintain the financial model with FP&A and Data, aligning reporting with forecasts and KPIs and supporting gross-margin and customer-profitability analysis.

• Maintain robust controls and documentation, review balance sheets, liaise with external accountants and auditors, and assess accounting treatments for new deals as Midnite expands internationally.

• Improve workflows through automation and AI, collaborating with other Finance Managers and cross-functional teams to deliver accurate, timely financial insight.

The next Midniter:

• Is at least part-qualified (e.g. ACCA, CIMA or ACA) and actively working toward full qualification, or is fully qualified and looking for a more senior opening.

• Has hands-on month-end accounting and financial control experience, including reconciliations and revenue processes.

• Is familiar with PSPs and high-volume transactional data.

• Understands UK GAAP/IFRS and their application to revenue and cost accounting, alongside robust controls and audit-ready records.

• Brings gambling industry experience as a strong advantage, not a requirement; gaming duty calculation experience is also a plus.

• Genuinely wants to work in gambling and learns unfamiliar topics through proactive research and technical questioning.

• Brings commercial acumen, can assess deals from financial and accounting perspectives, and has experience in business partnering, ideally in gaming, betting or technology.

• Is proficient in financial modelling, forecasting and variance analysis and can turn data into useful recommendations.

• Has advanced Excel and financial systems knowledge; experience with BI tools is a plus.

• Communicates clearly with senior and non-finance stakeholders, takes ownership and maintains high attention to detail.

• Looks for practical improvements to workflows, documentation and data quality, including opportunities to use automation and AI.
