DO YOU WANT TO IMPACT THE HARDEST WORKING PEOPLE IN THE WORLD1
?
Then Jobber might be the place for you! We’re looking for a Senior Lifecycle Marketing Manager to be part of our Marketing department.
Jobber exists to help people in small businesses be successful. We work with small home service businesses, like your local plumbers, painters, and landscapers, to transform the way service is delivered through technology. With Jobber they can quote, schedule, invoice, and collect payments from their customers while providing an easy and professional customer experience. Running a small business today isn’t like it used to be—the way we consume and deliver service is changing rapidly, technology is evolving, and customers expect more. That’s why we put the power and flexibility in their hands to run their businesses how, where, and when they want!
Our culture of transparency, inclusivity, collaboration, and innovation has been recognized by Great Place to Work, Canada’s Most Admired Corporate Cultures, and more. Jobber has also been named on the Globe and Mail’s Canada’s Top Growing Companies list, and Deloitte Canada’s Technology Fast 50™, Enterprise Fast 15, and Technology Fast 500™ lists. With an Executive team that has over thirty years of industry experience of leading the way, we’ve come a long way from our first customer in 2011—but we’ve just scratched the surface of what we want to accomplish for our customers.
The Team:
When it comes to telling the world about Jobber and moving new people through a funnel, Marketing is your department. They handle everything from spreading awareness, to answering “What’s Jobber?,” to getting new customers in the door, to turning those customers into Jobber advocates!
Lifecycle marketing is responsible for creating and advocating for best-in-class experiences that deliver the right message, to the right people, at the right time. We leverage automation and data to build highly personalized end-to-end experiences our customers want, need, and like.
The Role:
Reporting to the Acquisition Manager, Lifecycle Marketing, the Senior Lifecycle Marketing Manager will be responsible for orchestrating our ideal customer experience. You will own and drive strategies for how we acquire, activate, retain, and expand users on all platforms. You will be accountable for enhancing our Lead Nurture efforts and creating experiences that are mutually beneficial to both customers and Jobber, ultimately ensuring we’re effectively capturing revenue.
You will partner cross-functionally to optimize our customer journey, including all associated customer communications. In addition, you will run experiments to explore and validate new strategies for how we can effectively move our customers through the funnel. You will represent Lifecycle Marketing across the organization and be a steward for your area of focus across the business.
Through your work with our Business Operations, Marketing, Sales, Success, Product, and Growth teams, you'll create great user experiences at scale and conduct experiments to discover what works.
The Senior Lifecycle Marketing Manager will:
• Own the Leads portfolio end to end: the strategy, the programs, and the metrics for how leads are nurtured into trials and how trials convert into paying customers.
• Own and extend Jobber’s AI-enriched lead journeys, using enrichment and orchestration tooling (currently Clay and n8n) to build customer profiles and route leads into personalized experiences based on intent.
• Connect the lead experience to the trial experience so a customer sees one continuous, personalized journey from first touch through conversion, and work with Product on how that personalization carries into the app.
• Run a test-and-learn program against lead-to-trial and trial-to-paid metrics: form hypotheses, design experiments, read the results honestly, and iterate until the number moves.
• Decide where the portfolio’s time goes. Diagnose where leads and trials are being lost, size the opportunities, and make the case for what comes first and what waits.
• Lead the acquisition pod that connects lifecycle with our outbound and demand generation partners, owning the plan and the handoffs between teams and keeping leadership informed.
• Build what you design. Depending on capacity, you’ll configure journeys, write emails, and set up automation yourself alongside our Revenue Communications team.
• Set the bar for the Lifecycle team: bring outside insight in, share what you learn, and raise how the practice works at Jobber.
To be successful, you should:
• Have deep experience owning lead nurture and trial-to-paid conversion programs at a SaaS company, with results you can point to. B2B SaaS is the closest fit.
• Have hands-on experience using AI tools to enrich customer data and personalize communications at scale, beyond drafting copy. You’ve built or configured enrichment, orchestration, or journey logic yourself and can say what it changed in your results.
• Bring a test-and-learn posture to AI: you experiment with new tooling in your own workflow, can separate what works from what’s hype, and are comfortable in the weeds when the data is incomplete.
• Have led integrated acquisition efforts across outbound, demand generation, product, and sales, owning the plan and the handoffs rather than executing the lifecycle piece of someone else’s.
• Know the metrics behind nurture and conversion cold, and have moved them through experimentation and program iteration, not just reported on them.
• Take full ownership of the outcomes tied to your KPIs, including when the data is imperfect. You find a way to measure, ship, and learn rather than wait for clean inputs.
• Understand customer behaviour, barriers, and motivations from first-hand sources, and change the journey because of what you learn.
• Operate with a high degree of autonomy. You set your own priorities, keep your manager informed without being asked, and flag risk early.
• Push for better ways of doing things, and stay humble while you do it.
