Don't Use This Code's mission statement grew out of a joke… let's look at something amazing that will change the way you think about this programming language feature or this open source library… just DON'T USE THIS CODE.
I (the poster of this) made a little of a name for myself in the Python community through this very approach. See: https://pyvideo.org/speaker/james-powell.html or https://www.youtube.com/@dutctv or https://www.youtube.com/@PyDataTV/search?query=james%20powell
The core principle is: true expertise and expert knowledge is worthwhile to develop and disseminate (and this is true even if the LLM is doing a lot of the typing.) To this end, our goal is to deliver a combination of training, consulting, and hybrid coaching services to clients in the tech industry, in financial services, and at large-scale scientific research facilities. In fact, on the back of some recent successes, we are gearing up to build up a team and dramatically expand this work. Our work involves a lot of data analysis, data visualization, modelling, simulation, and experiment tooling system and infrastructure, and is currently very Python and PyData heavy.
We are looking to hire both junior and senior technical leads, as well as instructors.
We're just beginning to ramp up our hiring process, but provisional job reqs are available:
- Senior Tech Lead: https://docs.google.com/document/d/1_uJdBJlGmin4gQ_9kxxFS7cH0-CaLEhmGXle8EZ6sBM/edit?tab=t.0
- Junior Tech Lead: https://docs.google.com/document/d/1_uJdBJlGmin4gQ_9kxxFS7cH0-CaLEhmGXle8EZ6sBM/edit?tab=t.fwwr1j97nt43
- Instructor: https://docs.google.com/document/d/1_uJdBJlGmin4gQ_9kxxFS7cH0-CaLEhmGXle8EZ6sBM/edit?tab=t.4ijv3emqfxef
Given the nature of our clients, we are especially fond of hiring people with background in the sciences, including those in fields like biology or psychology, who have a strong (perhaps even self-taught) technical background.
