Media Assistant - China

About the Role

This internship offers an excellent opportunity to gain hands-on experience in marketing and business operations at Comms8.

Reporting to the management team, you will support content creation, business operations, external outreach, and day-to-day administrative tasks.

You will collaborate with multiple teams to:

• Ensure smooth project execution
• Contribute to marketing initiatives
• Strengthen stakeholder relationships
• Gain exposure to various aspects of agency operations
• Develop practical skills while making meaningful contributions

Responsibilities

1. Content Creation

• Develop and edit content for presentations, brochures, blogs, newsletters, and social media for both InfluenConnect and Comms8.
• Conduct research and propose creative ideas for campaigns and projects.
• Manage online communities by conducting outreach, responding to messages, and engaging with followers.
• Track and consolidate marketing channel performance reports.
• Assist with copywriting, visual design, and video/reel editing.
• Keep PowerPoint presentations and company materials updated.
• Localise content into different languages when required.

2. Business Support & Project Assistance

• Conduct desktop research on industry trends, competitors, and potential clients.
• Consolidate research findings into reports and summaries to support business decisions.
• Maintain and update client and contact databases.
• Assist in preparing client presentations and proposals.
• Update website content, company directories, client logos, email signatures, and other company assets.
• Support project coordination to ensure deadlines are met.
• Research industry news and events to keep the team informed.

3. General Support

• Provide administrative support, including organising files and updating records.
• Participate in team meetings by contributing ideas and taking meeting notes.
• Handle basic logistical tasks such as scheduling and arranging meetings.
• Manage printing requirements (e.g., business cards and brochures) and coordinate with production vendors.
• Perform additional ad hoc tasks as assigned.

Requirements

• At least one year of relevant experience in digital marketing, content creation, or influencer marketing, with the ability to independently produce high-quality content.
• Proficient in both written and spoken English, with strong communication skills to efficiently manage local and international client needs. Proficiency in Chinese would be a plus.
• Skilled in short video editing and visual design, with experience in video editing and creating social media visuals using Canva.
• Familiar with major advertising tools and platforms in Asia.
• Knowledgeable about the Chinese social media landscape would be an advantage.
• Interested in influencer marketing or with prior collaboration experience in this field.
• Capable of independently developing content strategies, executing tasks, and conducting data analysis.
• Possesses an understanding of digital marketing, staying up to date with the latest industry trends.
• A team player with attention to detail, responsibility, and strong communication skills.
