The listing, marked up
Nothing in the wording of this listing tripped a check. The scores above still judge how complete and coherent it is.
Rainforest is an early stage payments-as-a-service startup that has developed a solution that makes monetizing payments for vertically focused software platforms fair and simple.
We focus on small-to-mid sized platforms that want to add value to their small business customers through embedded payments — and want to do so without adding operational or regulatory burdens or costs.
Led by a successful repeat fintech founder with deep knowledge of the industry, and with venture backing from a Top 10 VC firm, Rainforest is well positioned to make an impact in the payments-as-a-service space, and we're looking for new team members who want to be a part of this journey!
We're hiring one intern for our Payment Operations (PayOps) team for the spring semester. You'll work on real operational data and real customer questions, not busywork, and you'll finish with a project you can put on your resume and walk an interviewer through.
What you'll do
• Organize and manage the operational data our support team and AI support agent rely on
• Find and fix data quality issues, and help design processes that keep them from coming back
• Build basic reports that help the team see what's happening in the business
• Learn customer support from the ground up, drafting replies to platform questions under the guidance of our support lead
• Present your semester's work to the company at the end of your term
What you'll get
• Hands-on experience in payments operations at an AI-forward fintech startup
• A dedicated manager who reviews your work and gives you regular feedback
• Training on how payments and embedded payments work
• Exposure to how a startup's operations, product, and risk teams work together
• The chance to return for the July to December semester, based on performance
What we're looking for
• Currently pursuing a business degree (or similar)
• Available 20 to 40 hours per week from January 11 through June 2027
• Comfortable in Excel or Google Sheets
• Clear, careful writer
• Curious, coachable, and comfortable asking questions
Nice to have:
• Based in Atlanta (we'd love to see you at our office a couple days a week)
• Interest in payments, fintech, or operations
• Experience using AI tools like ChatGPT or Claude for school or work
Details:
• $25/hour
• Remote, or hybrid at our Atlanta office (ATV Buckhead)
• Part-time, 20 to 40 hours per week, with 2 to 3 core hours overlapping Eastern time
• Spring semester runs January 11 to June 2027
We offer a comprehensive health benefits package, unlimited paid time off, paid parental leave, a fun and flexible working environment, and continuously invest in our people and our culture.
