The listing, marked up
Nothing in the wording of this listing tripped a check. The scores above still judge how complete and coherent it is.
We’re a small team across the US and Europe. We build the platform that household-name brands use to run their own loyalty programs.
We write Go and run our own database engine on top of local key-value stores. We keep storage and compute on the same dedicated machines and read straight from mmap’ed pages. Ever came across HN saying that one can run Twitter on a single machine these days? We’re doing that in production.
We write our JavaScript by hand, have zero lines of React, and render HTML server-side like it’s 2005.
We’re looking for someone who knows the web platform well and can reason all the way down to CPU caches. You’ve spent years building across different stacks and have opinions about the tradeoffs you made. We’d love to see something you built that you’re proud of, and hear why you built it that way.
We pay $200–250k a year, all cash. You’ll need to be available from 9am to noon New York time.
