Why this grade This listing scored 58/100, which is a C. It lost the most ground on pay transparency. See the breakdown
- Description depth 20 / 20 How much the posting actually says about the work, measured in characters of real text.
- Remote clarity 15 / 15 Whether "remote" means anywhere, or is quietly restricted to one country.
- Freshness 12 / 15 How recently it was posted. Older postings are likelier to be filled or abandoned.
- Role specificity 6 / 10 Whether the listing is tagged well enough to tell what the role actually is.
- Corroboration 5 / 10 Whether more than one source carries this listing.
- Pay transparency 0 / 25 A published salary range, worth more than any other single factor because it is what a candidate cannot find out without applying.
Every figure above is arithmetic over the posting itself — its salary field, its text, its age, its tags and how many sources carry it. How the grades work →

About FIRST Delivery
FIRST Delivery is the delivery command center for restaurants. Our platform enables restaurants to manage deliveries using their own drivers, third-party delivery providers, or a combination of both, all from one easy-to-use app.
We started by operating our own restaurant-delivery fleet. That experience gave us a firsthand understanding of how difficult and expensive restaurant delivery can be. We used what we learned to build technology that helps restaurants reduce costs, expand their delivery reach, and deliver more orders while maintaining control of the customer experience.
FIRST is trusted by more than 10,000 restaurants and has powered millions of deliveries. After establishing the business in the United States, we are now bringing the platform to Europe.
The Opportunity
We are looking for a highly entrepreneurial Head of Europe to build FIRST’s European business.
This person will own European growth across commercial strategy, market launches, restaurant acquisition, delivery-provider partnerships, and local operations. You will determine which countries and customer segments FIRST should prioritize, develop relationships with major restaurant groups and technology partners, and turn early market activity into a repeatable European growth engine.
This is a hands-on founding leadership role. Initially, you will personally lead important sales conversations, partnerships, and launches.
You will work directly with the CEO and have significant influence over FIRST’s international product roadmap, go-to-market strategy, and organizational development.
What You’ll Do
Own FIRST’s European strategy
- Develop and execute FIRST’s European market-entry and expansion strategy.
- Prioritize countries based on restaurant demand, delivery-provider coverage, competitive dynamics, unit economics, and operational readiness.
- Expect to be traveling up to 10 days per month.
- Establish market-level goals for revenue, restaurant locations, delivery volume, partnerships, and launches.
- Translate the European opportunity into a focused operating plan with clear priorities and measurable milestones.
- Provide the CEO with regular market insights, performance reporting, and strategic recommendations.
Drive commercial growth
- Build relationships with high-volume restaurants, multi-location restaurant groups, hospitality brands, and ordering platforms.
- Personally lead strategic sales opportunities from initial outreach through negotiation, launch, and expansion.
- Develop a clear European value proposition for restaurants managing in-house and third-party delivery.
- Build a qualified pipeline across priority markets.
- Create market-specific commercial models while maintaining a scalable regional strategy.
- Expand successful restaurant relationships across additional locations and countries.
Build strategic partnerships
- Develop executive-level relationships with delivery providers, ordering platforms, POS companies, restaurant-technology businesses, and other potential distribution partners.
- Negotiate commercial arrangements that improve FIRST’s coverage, pricing, and market access.
- Coordinate country launches with delivery partners and internal product and engineering teams.
- Identify channel partnerships that can introduce FIRST to large groups of restaurants.
- Represent FIRST at European restaurant, hospitality, logistics, and technology events.
Lead market launches and operations
- Own the commercial and operational readiness of each new European market.
- Coordinate delivery-provider coverage, contracts, pricing, payment requirements, support processes, and launch plans.
- Ensure new restaurant customers receive a strong onboarding and early operating experience.
- Identify regional product requirements involving language, currency, taxes, payments, delivery practices, and regulatory differences.
- Work with product and engineering to prioritize the changes required to serve European customers effectively.
- Develop repeatable processes that allow FIRST to enter new countries efficiently.
Build the European organization
- Determine which local roles and capabilities are required as the business grows.
- Recruit, lead, and develop a high-performing European commercial and operations team.
- Establish a culture of urgency, accountability, customer focus, and resourcefulness.
- Set goals and performance standards across sales, partnerships, onboarding, and account growth.
- Ensure the European team remains closely connected to the company’s U.S. leadership and product organization.
Who You Are
- You have experience building or scaling a European business for a software, restaurant-technology, marketplace, logistics, delivery, or payments company.
- You understand that Europe is not a single market and know how to balance regional scale with country-level differences.
- You have successfully sold to restaurants, hospitality groups, platforms, or enterprise customers.
- You are capable of developing strategy while remaining willing to personally prospect, sell, negotiate, and launch customers.
- You are comfortable operating with limited structure and creating the systems the business needs.
- You are commercially strong and understand unit economics, pricing, partnerships, and market prioritization.
- You build credibility with founders, executives, restaurant operators, and operational teams.
- You are highly adaptable and communicate effectively across cultures and markets.
- You consistently follow through and take ownership of outcomes.
- You have the optimism and grit required to build a region from an early stage.
- You are willing to travel regularly throughout Europe.
- Additional European-language proficiency is valuable but not required.

During your first year, you will:
- Establish a clear European strategy and market-launch roadmap.
- Build a meaningful pipeline of high-volume restaurants and strategic partners.
- Convert initial European customers into live, growing accounts.

- Demonstrate repeatable customer acquisition and launch processes in priority markets.
- Identify and communicate the European product roadmap required for long-term growth.
- Build the initial team and operating structure needed to scale the region.
